Every aviary's structure principle has created by Hugh Dutton Associates. 


"This project had an important concept and that was that the human architecture and animal architecture be almost identical. The aviary theme, using mesh became one of the project's themes They can be found at the main entrance and of course in the big aviary, etc...The giraffe house is made of a wood filter system which is a common denominator. with many other buildings in the zoo : the rhinoceros house for example and also the visitor's restaurant. The desire for inter-changeability was the starting point of the architectural strategy. These log envelopes, or wooden beams are part of the zoos image. As these beams age, they will become grey, exactly like Vincennes zoo's historic rock." Bernard Tschumi urbaniste architecte
