URBAN NATURES
The "Natures urbaines" exhibition explores this long, multi-dimensional history, looking at nature in the city from the angles of development, health, nourishment and aesthetics. Through a selection of paintings, engravings, maps, books, photographs and the presentation of plant-based tools, the exhibition reveals the links forged between nature and architecture, and the prospects for this necessary relationship.

PARIS, THE METROPOLIS AND ITS PROJECTS
Following a chronological trail, the exhibition retraces the origins of the Paris region and tells the intertwined stories of the city's communes, enabling everyone to understand today's territory. The exhibition offers a number of thematic references to help explain the metropolis, which was structured by agricultural, ornamental and road-related logics, then transformed, adapted and integrated into a process of urbanization driven by demographic, technological, economic and political developments.

CYCLING
Paris is now regarded as one of the world's cycling capitals. In 2024, according to a study by the Institut Paris Région, 11.2% of trips in the capital would be made by bike, compared with 4.3% by car. This situation is the culmination of a long history in Greater Paris, with a significant acceleration in bicycle use in recent years. The exhibition À Vélo, Paris Métropole 1818-2030 traces the evolution of cycling practices and the resulting social and urban impacts.
