The Ideal School exhibition brings together architectural and artistic approaches to explore different school forms across history and territories, and support active pedagogies for the future.
The Pavillon de l'Arsenal and Magasins Généraux are joining forces to present school models from Greater Paris and around the world, analyze their remarkable features and imagine other ways of envisioning the school. In association with architectural firm Atelier Senzu and a dozen artists, the exhibition will offer a spatial and sensitive experimentation of a school both dreamt and desirable, from a child's point of view. Each artistic creation, nurtured upstream by encounters with local schoolchildren, will find an architectural response developed with Atelier Senzu. This ongoing dialogue between architecture, art and mediation will form the basis of a new educational imagination for the schools of today and tomorrow.

Exhibition presented at the Magasins Généraux
Les Magasins Généraux is a major Parisian cultural venue founded by BETC in 2017, where creation, ideas and new voices resonate. Born in an industrial building, a former 1930s general store on the banks of the Ourcq Canal in Pantin, they offer a year-round program of exhibitions and cultural events, free of charge and accessible to all.
Les Magasins Généraux seeks to identify, support and make visible artists, creators, project bearers, thinkers and innovators,
thinkers, activists, associations and audiences from all walks of life, who make up today's emerging artistic and cultural scene. By engaging with these new voices, their inspirations, their projects and their concerns, they aim to become a place where tomorrow's art and ideas come together and come to life.
As an artistic laboratory where different fields of creation come together, the Magasins Généraux are also a platform for unexpected encounters, a forum for exchange and debate, and a place to live and celebrate, open to the city. As a sounding board for bold, committed initiatives, the Magasins Généraux offer a wide variety of programming formats, built around issues of social concern, inclusive values and the challenges of social and ecological transition.
